Corona California, December 13th 2005: Office bearers of Pakistan Peoples Party California held "Yoom-e-Tasees" in PPP office in Corona California. This event was attended by over 60 members of PPP USA including:

Mr. Adnan Shafiq (Googi) (Sr. V.P. California), Mr. Nazir Bhurgri (Sr.
V.P. California), Mr. Taufiq Shah (President PPP Arizona), Mr. Sani H.
Panhwar (Member PPP Sindh Council), Mr. Khalid Fareed (J. S. PPP
California), Mr. Khuram Shahzad, Mr. Bashir Mahar, Mr. Rehan Shafiq, Mr.
Farhan Shafiq (Host) and others.
The following resolutions were approved by all present.
1. Restoration of Real Democracy: It was resolved that the US
Authorities should support restoration of real democracy in Pakistan like
President Bush's doctrine of democracy for Afghanistan and Iraq. It was also
resolved that Pakistan establishment should review its policies as President
Musharraf's political system has been failed.
2. Return of Political Leaders to Pakistan: It was resolved that real
political process should be revived and political leaders who are out of
Pakistan be allowed to return honorably if government is sincere to rid the
country of extremism and fundamentalist elements.
3. Free and Fair Elections: It was resolved that so far the Provincial,
National and Local Bodies Elections held under General Pervez Musharraf are
neither free nor fair. He has already decreed 29 amendments to the
constitution, giving him absolute power including the power to further amend
the constitution. This authority be changed and given to Supreme Court of
Pakistan.

Corona California Saturday October 1st 2005: Office bearers of Pakistan Peoples Party California held and evening with Sani Panhwar who was recently nominated as a Member of PPP Sindh Council, the evening was hosted by Adnan Shafqi Vice President PPP California Chapter and Khalid Fareed Joint Secretary PPP California Chapter at PPP office in Corona California.
The meeting was attended by Azmat (Sacramento), Nazir Bhurgri (Vice President PPP California), Dr Khalid Memon (Brea), Talib Janjua (Corona), Rehan Shafi (Corona), Farooq Anwar (Torrance), Khuram Syed (Anahim), Syed Jaffar Shah (Torrance), Sameer Jafri (Corona), Mushi Khan (Corona), Maqsood Khan (Anaheim) and others.
Speaking at the occasion Mr. Sani Panhwar thanked the hosts for arranging the event, he also thanked Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and Pakistan Peoples Party leadership for the confidence they have in him and promised to keep working towards bringing the real democracy in Pakistan. He assured them that for the period he would be holding the position as member Sindh Council, he would discharge his responsibilities with a spirit of consultation and consensus to deliver every possible relief to party workers and the people of Pakistan.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:30pm.

PPP USA Celebrated birthday of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in New York

had a public meeting to celebrate Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto's 52nd birthday on
Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at 7 PM at Five Star Banquet, Long Island City,
Queens, New York, presided by Dr. M. Hassan, President, PPP, USA. The
meeting was attended by the office bearers of PPP, USA, workers, supporters,
sympathizers and many others.
The speakers gave their compliments to Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto's efforts and
the work she is doing for the Party, Pakistan, and for the restoration of
democracy in the country. The speakers also gave their views on the current
situation in Pakistan. The speakers were Dr. M. Hassan, President, PPP, USA;
Chaudhry Ijaz Farrukh, Senior Vice President/Information Secretary, PPP,
USA; Mian Bisharat, Chief Advisor, PPP, USA; Shafqat Tanweer, General
Secretary, PPP, USA; Malik M. Iqbal, Vice President, PPP, USA; Farasat
Chaudhry, Vice President, PPP, USA; Arif Niazi, PRO, PPP, USA; Mudassar
Chaudhry, Finance Secretary, PPP, USA; Haji Jamil, Ex-President, PML (N),
USA; Sufi Mushtaq; Shahnawaz Khan; Ainul Haq; Hafeez Kashmiri; Asif Sayed;
Imtiaz Chaudhry, General Secretary, Pohtwar Welfare Society; Dr. M. Shafique,
President, Freedom Forum, USA; Shahid Comrade, General Secretary, Freedom
Forum, USA, and some other community leaders. The media was also present.
At the meeting, an audio taped message of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was played
for the audience. Also, Dr. M. Hassan read a message sent by Mohtarma
Benazir Bhutto. The cake was cut and the dinner was served.
Some unanimous resolutions were passed by PPP, USA and the public present:
1.) General Musharraf should resign.
2.) PPP demands free and fair elections in Pakistan.
3.) Restoration of democracy.
4.) The guarantee of safety of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on her return to
Pakistan.
5.) Immediate release of all the political prisoners.

PPP USA observed 26th death anniversary of Shaheed Z. A. Bhutto

n Saturday, April 9, 2005 Pakistan Peoples Party USA celebrated 26th death anniversary of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in Punjab restaurant Brooklyn, New York. Speakers paid a glowing tribute to one of the greatest leaders in the world, founding chairperson of PPP and the first directly-elected prime minister of Pakistan, a hero of the people, not only in Pakistan, but across the Muslim world and the third-world countries. Shaheed-e-Jamhuriat, Quaid-e-Awam, Janab Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was remembered on his 26th death anniversary. The event was organized by Shoukat Bhutta President Tri-State and Mian Basharat.The speakers commented on the services of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto for the country and how he brought politics from the drawing room to the streets. He gave the country the unanimous constitution of 1973 and self-sustaining nuclear program. He gave the country strength in education and industry. His outstanding leadership still awes people today.
The public meeting was attended by hundreds of people including office bearers of PPP, USA, many Party activists and Party sympathizers living in USA. Also, a large amount of office bearers and workers of PML, USA (N) attended the meeting. It was presided by Chaudhry Sarwar, President, PPP, NY chapter and the chief guest was Chaudhry Ijaz N. Several resolutions were passed in the meeting demanding and end to political vendetta against Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and other political leaders, the restoration of democracy, the immediate release of political prisoners, the guarantee of safety on the return of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, new free and fair elections under the Human Rights Commission's supervision, the resignation of General Musharraf, and the return of the military to barracks.
The office bearers and workers of PPP, USA showed full confidence in Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto's leadership. At the end the organizers Shoukat Bhutta President Tri-State and Mian Basharat thanked all the participants.
26th Death Anniversary of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was observed in Corona California.
April 9th 2005 Corona California: Supporters of Pakistan Peoples Party observed 26th death anniversary of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto at the residence of Farhan Shafiq in Corona California. This event was attended by office bearers, members, and sympathizers of PPP.
The event started at 5:30 pm with Quran Khwani and Dua for Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Among those who attended the event were Adnan Shafiq Ex Sr. Vice President of Peoples Youth Karachi East, Mr. Rashid Ghaznavi Vice President PPP USA, Mr. Nazir Bhurgri Vice President PPP California, Mr. Sohail Parekh, Mr. Taufiq Shah Joint Secretary PPP California, Mr. Rehan Shafiq, Mr. Khalid Fareed, Dr. Khalid Memon, Mr. Sani Panhwar, Mr. Zahid Noor Mohammad, Mr. Ali Shaikh, Mr. Jan Mohammad Baloch, Mr. Maqsood Khan, Mr. Samin Farooqi, Mr. Anwar Jatoi and many others.
After Dua dinner was served by the host which was catered through a local restaurant. At this occasion Mr. Farhan Shafiq spoke briefly the life of Shaheed Bhutto and called him "a man of principle" he also spoke about the activities in local area and encouraged all who attended to recruit more members for PPP-USA. Speaking at the occasion Mr. Rashid Ghaznavi Vice President PPP USA and Mr. Nazir Bhurgri Vice President PPP California also emphasized on all well wishers of PPP to bring more people to PPP USA platform.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Adnan Shafiq Ex Sr. Vice President of Peoples Youth Karachi East said, Bhutto Shaheed was killed by some opportunists to grab power and privilege from common people. He said if Bhutto was not killed and would have stayed in power the geography of the region would have been different today. Pakistan would have emerged as a strong economic country and powerful Islamic state. He was killed to serve interest of those who saw him as a threat. He also said that it is a shame that all political opponents went to General Zia and supported his actions against great leader Bhutto and his party. He said party is alive today only because of Bhutto's sacrifice. The way Bhutto Shaheed was betrayed by Zia, will keep Bhutto alive for ever in the hearts of people of Pakistan.
Speaking at the occasion Mr. Sani Panhwar said that Bhutto Shaheed always wanted power for common person, and he gave the voice to millions of workers who did not dare to talk to their Mill owners and Land Lords. He also said that we should set same examples here in United States by bringing every one on PPP platform and giving them opportunity to express their views and ideas to strengthen the party in USA. He emphasized the need of lobbying using a comprehensive membership data base.
At the end host of the event Mr. Farhan Shafiq thanked all who attended the 26th Death anniversary of Shaheed Bhutto. The event ended at 11:45 pm.

January 16th, 2005 Corona California. Pakistan Peoples Party's local activists celebrated Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's 77th Bithday in Corona California. This event was organized by Mr. Farhan Shafiq, who has also provided a permanent office for PPP West Coast. The event was celebrated at the new PPP office located at 712 Lassen Drive, Corona California. Chief guest for the event was Mr. Rashid Ghaznavi, Vice President Pakistan Peoples Party USA. Members and sympathizers from all over Southern California came to attend Shaheed's Birthday.
The event stated with Talawat-e-Quran-e-Paak, recited by Dr. Khalid Memon. Mr. Adnan Shafiq (Gogi), ex Sr. Vice President of Peoples Youth Karachi East was the stage secretary. Mr. Rashid Ghaznavi, Mr. Farhan Shafiq, Mr. Nazir Bhurgri, Mr. Sohail Parekh, Mr. Taufiq Shah, Mr. Rehan Shafiq, Mr. Khalid Fareed, Dr. Khalid Memon, Mr. Sani Panhwar and Mr. Farooq spoke on the occasion.
Speakers highlighted the contribution of Shaheed Bhutto's life for service of Pakistan and Muslim Uma. Speakers stated that among the other things Shahhed Bhutto did for the country he gave first Awami Constitution to Pakistan, he brought nuclear technology to Pakistan, he arranged the first Islamic Conference and over and above all this he did not compromise on his principals and gave his life for Awam and Pakistan.
The event was concluded with delicious dinner hosted by Mr. Farhan Shafiq.

Dr. Hassan, President, PPP, USA, presided the meeting Mr Shafqat Tanweer was a stage secretary for the event. There was a big gathering of Party office bearers, members, and sympathizers. Dr. Hassan, Chaudhry Ijaz Farrukh, Mr Shafqat Tanweer, Khalid Awan, Ruhail Daar, Iftikhar Zaidi, Rana Sayed, Mohammad Arshad Khan, Dr. Shafi Bazaar, Hamad Khan, Sardar Niaz Hussain, Shahid Comrade, Mian Fiaz, Ijaz Bhatti, Dr. Khalid Luqman, Ghulam Ali Baig, Dr. Shafique Ahmad, Malik Wazir Awan, Chaudhry Masood Zikria, Malik Mushtaq Ahmad, Sarfaraz Cheema, and Mian Bisharat spoke on the occasion and paid a glowing tribute to Shaheed-e-Jamhuriat, Quaid-e-Awam, Janaab Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, They remembered how Shaheed Z. A. Bhutto brought politics from the drawing room to the streets. He gave the country the unanimous constitution of 1973. He made Pakistan the 7th atomic power in the world. Some resolutions were passed: the guarantee of safety on the return of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto to Pakistan and free and fair elections. All the speakers paid glowing tributes to the Chairperson.
In this event "Pak freedom forum" Mr Rohail Dar president Muslim League(N), League of America, Mr Azim Mian of Geo Network and local press also participated. In the end dinner were served to all the participants.
